Featured Speaker: Tom Ganley

Tom has been keeping fish for approx. 25 years and his main interst has been new world cichlids and natives, especially sunfish and killies as well as odd balls like polypeterus species and catfish.

Presently Tom is keeping Uruguay fish from his last trip to include cichlids, catfish, tetras, livebears, knife fish etc / 10 - 20 species of CT natives / native fish from GA / some polpterus species / a bunch of SE rasboras and loaches.

Presently he has about a dozen and a half tanks up and running. He also has some newts, frogs, turtles and a snake.

Tom Ganley is a well published with articles in Aquarium Fish International, the South American and Central American Study groups. He has also had his pictures appear in TFH and AFM.

His love of fish has taken him to Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, Panama, Malaysia, Singapore and Uruguay. Not only has he collected from these spots, but he has done some sport fishing along the way.

Not only has his trips taken him to other continents, but he has also done a lot of collecting here in the States. His home collecting has taken him to FL, GA, SC, NC, NJ, CT, MA, VT and most recently AL.

Tom also collects his own rocks, driftwood, gravel, live food, plants and anything else he can use.
